I need to prepare documentation of each part of some products. I want to automate this process as much as possible since there are thousands of part drawings.
What have to be done is:
1. Transfer the letter head info of the technical drawing to the control form’s letterhead: Part Name, Drawing No and Total Quantity (Quantity is 1 if not specified).
2. Fill control form’s letterhead: Control Date (mostly today’s date), Assembly Station and Description (Those two change just from product to product).
3. Balloon number every dimension on the technical drawing.
4. Transfer every dimension and its tolerance to the control form in order to balloon numbers: Drawing Dimension and Tolerance.
5. Fill control form: Instrument No is from the tag of caliper I used to make measurements, mostly same.
6. Transfer measurement data from the control form that I filled at workshop by hand writing to the control form: Measurement.
7. Decide If it is OK or Not OK by comparing the difference between Drawing Dimension and Measurement to the Tolerance.
Tecnical drawings are in PDF and Control form is in Excel file format.
