Access Database and Application for different user types and image storeing

Hello, I am very much interested to do this work as i have strong knowledge in ms access related works. But i have a suggestion, can i do it by vb.net for the application development? Ms access could be use as back-end or ms sql server could be also use as back-end if you like. So please let me know if you are interested to my suggestions. Thanks
