Hello, This sounds like a very interesting opportunity, and I'm extremely excited to hear more. My background spans over 15 years in Web and Software Development, Automated Testing, Release Engineering, and Infrastructure. I have worked as a Senior Software Developer, Engineer, Release Engineer, Lead Developer, and other roles; at firms such as Yahoo, Gap and HP, crossing multiple functions. Java has always been my favorite and most comfortable language, and I very much enjoy working with Groovy and Jenkins. As for Jenkins, I've worked in many different scales of environment, from a single server setup all the way to multiple masters with hundreds of slaves. WIth large scale projects, the number of build and test jobs can become difficult to deal with. We use Puppet to manage with our large scale Jenkins slave infrastructure. We must support automated testing across multiple edge operating systems, including AIX and HPUX, along with Centos and RHEL. I've been working 90% remote for the past year, so I am very familiar with working in a geographically distributed team, and the communication and scheduling challenges that can present.
