Live data from ground level instruments needs to be dumped on sql.
There are 8 machines from which data needs to be taken. Hence it has been decided to have 8 tables, 9th table will have consolidated data of all 8 tables.
After the data is collected, a report needs to be generated, one individual report for each machine. And a consolidated report for the all the machine.
We also need to have different authenticated levels for different users, and based on their login the user information ll be captured.

The design will involve following steps.
1) Database script that runs to collect data from 8 machines and dump into single table
2) .net script to have authentication.
3) Crystal report to provide reports as per the requirements

I completed a similar project a couple of months ago which collected data from several temperature recorders. The project was able to use a single table for all of the devices. This approach may be possible here but request lacks sufficient information on the 8 machines to decide.

My best solution for this project is that just create the single table (consolidated ) and load the data from all 8 servers. We have to create the one more extra column in above table called Machine Name , So while reading the data from Machines we have to hard code the machine name and then enters the data into consolidated table. For Ex: We have derived column in SSIS, so while reading the data from Machine 1 then tag all these data with the Machine 1.
