Convert large number of PDF files into excel / database - Repost - open to bidding

I have a large number of PDF files, that have specific information about different products. The files contain an image of the product and relevant information on the product. I need the information and images extracted from the PDF files and put into a database. Users can then search the database to find the specific product and image. I am in the process of getting access to all the PDF files so I am not yet sure how many there are exactly but will have them in about a week. I know there are several methods to getting this done and I'm interested in who might be able to get this work performed in the most cost effective way with the best quality. I am not a database developer so I am looking for someone that can recommend a database output for this work that I can access and query as a novice... such as Access or something of that nature. Eventually the data will be imported in to another database as part of a larger online application build. Thanks and please let me know if you have any questions.
