Developing an existing webstore: Adding feature into a perl script

We have currently a perl script working as a main engine for a web store.

It is basically a shopping cart script.

This is in short how it works:

* The customer adds stuff into the shopping cart

* The customer goes to check out; Verifies the products and sees the sum of the products

* The customer selects payment and delivery method, and each method has its own cost.

* The last step shows you the sum of all costs (products + freight and payment services)

The feature needed is the follwing:

We need to add new kind of payment and delivery methods that dont have static costs, but rather percentage calculated costs.

E.g. Paypal. Say paypal takes 5% fee of the total sum.

So if the customer selects Paypal as payment method, the payment service amount is calculated based on a percentage you set up in the perl script.

The percentage mechanism works like this:

You define a percentage of the sum

You define a minimum amount (or disable it) = even if the percentage calculation gives you a lower value, the value is minimun what you define.

You define a maxumun amount (or disable it). Similar to above.

I see this as a small project.

The script is complete and all that is needed is the percentage feature. The programmer will take part of that script and if it seems to be a bigger project than I thought, we might need to adjust the budget.
