Bootstrap Carousel in Wordpress Help

I have a WP theme with a bootstrap carousel that is displaying a Custom Post type. It works great, but whenever I leave the browser tab to go to another tab for a while, when I come back to the tab the first slide displays blank. I need this to display correctly.
