Add Background color to submenus in wordpress Geotheme

When i added the submenus to my customized GeoTheme template the background color is transparent so it makes it very, very hard to see the dropdown submenus. I just need a background color added to my submenus. As you will see in the attached screenshot the submenu font color is white but the background is transparent
