My customer wants to convert his Visual Basic 6 project to Visual Studio 2003 or 2004 (VB.Net). That's it.
I need a coder familiar with VB6 and VS to advise me, in some detail, about how to do this conversion. Also, my customer will require you to sign a confidentiality agreement before I can release any code. I do not understand how RAC handles such agreements, so if you appear to have the qualifications we need and you bid on our work, I will post one to you.
It compiles in VB6, but doesn't in VS. It appears that most of the errors are due to differences between the way VB and VS utilizes the Access databases, included with the project. However, I am not familiar enough with VB6 or VS to make this transition.
This project helps pharmacists keep track of patients, doctors, and compounding drugs.
For now, I do not require the project to be improved, only that you get it in working condition in VS. It's not a huge project; one good developer wrote it, so one good developer should be able to handle converting it.
I will give you a bonus if you can convert the Access databases to MSDE. However, this is not required.
