Clipboard Saving/Restoring any format

I need to have an dll created that can be called from visual basic 6.0 This dll is to be used in an MS Outlook add-in. As we have custom buttons with custom images, the only way we have found to use a custom image onto a button, is to copy/paste the image to the clipboard and pasted onto the button. Since our toolbars are temporarily created, the clipboard keeps getting wiped out by our icons as they are pasted on the various buttons added everytime we open/create a new e-mail. You can provide me with either solution: 1. Is there a different way I can add a custom image to a button with using copy/paste. I know how to do it in .NET but I haven't found the equivalent in vb6. 2. Provide a copy/paste dll This dll would be called before adding the buttons to save the clipoard content to a variable. The toolbar & their buttons would then be added and once added, the clipboard would be restored using the content saved in that variable. This dll only needs 2 functions: 1. Save clipboard to a variable 2. Restore clipboard from variable to the actual clipboard. This needs to handle whatever information is in the clipboard. This is crucial. So MS Word, Images, Powerpoint, text, etc... what ever is in the clipboard before adding the buttons needs to be restored. Ideally i'd like this to be written in vb6 using whatever api is needed, but if you need to write it in another language, so be it as long as it can be called from VB6. I will need full commented code (whatever the language) and a compile version and details of the application used to compile the code if other than vb6.
