Creating An Electronic Catalog Application

The goal of the project is to be able to distribute a catalogue via a USB stick. You would place the USB stick into a computer and it would load an application which would display the catalog. I am not looking at recreating the wheel as it is likely an open source app would already exist to form the basis. The Catalog has been created already in Indesign or from a PDF so can be supplied in either format. However more catalogs will be made over time so We have one security feature that is to make it as hard as possible to copy the application or the catalog so that we can control how it is distributed. So no downloadable items such as PDF etc. Features Registration so we know who has the catalogs. This would be linked into the new Joomla website so one platform would handle the registrations Capture stats such as amount of time spent viewing, page viewing times, IP address of computer using the stick, able to remotely update the catalog when new ones are available and any other type of stats which would be useful for marketing type purposes. Be able to add links so that it would then take you to the shopping cart to get prices for the products
