Avatar Uploader

A page where a website member can upload an avatar image (JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF) which will then be saved to the server. Upon uploading the image should be cropped and sized to be the correct avatar size (80 x 80 pixels). ## Deliverables This 'avatar upload' page will ultimately be integrated into a member profile page which we already have. It will depend on a variable $user, which for the purposes of this project can get given through the $_GET variable at the top of your code as follows: <?php $user=$_GET['user']; ?> The page should have 2 options for uploading: 1) Browse your computer for an image to upload 2) Enter a URL from an image already online Both cases will result in the requested image being physically uploaded to the server. The program should check whether or not the given file is a valid image or not and give an error message if it is not a valid type (It can be JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF). The final avatar should be 80 x 80 pixels, in jpg format. If the initial image given is not square, then it should be cropped to be perfectly square before being resized to 80x80, so that no stretching or warping occurs. Once the member is happy with how their image looks, they can hit SAVE or CANCEL. If SAVE button is clicked, 80x80 version of the image should be save as a jpg and the original upload image should be deleted. Even if the user's original upload is a 80x80 jpg, the code should still put the image through a transform (eg. Convert to lossless BMP, then convert back to JPG) and save as a brand new image file. (This is for security purposes, to remove any possible embedded data within the original image). The file name when saving, should be as follows: $filename=$user.'.jpg' so the image for a user 'michael' would get saved as [login to view URL]
