C# - Open grid application

Hello, **Note: since I received only one valid bid, I am going to extend the bidding for one more week. Any bid that does NOT comply with the text below is discarded unseen. ** this is the first in a couple of bids I am going to make on behalf of the OSSL (<[login to view URL]>) and the Private Grid Initiative (<[login to view URL]> site is in english). What I want is pretty open, that is, I do not give a specific application or how I want it. This is an open invitation for any application that meets the following criteria: 1) It must be a clustered/grid application. 2) It uses Alchemi (<[login to view URL]>) for clustered computations. 3) It is graphical of nature, or it must have a good graphical representation of what is going on. 4) It has a high computation time and low data transfer time with regards to the clusterd computations. 5) The difference between single node and 10 nodes must be obvious. 6) The programmer must release all of the code under (L)GPL. Testing can be done on the 10-node cluster of the Private Grid. Possible types of applications: - Data analysis (logfiles, html indexing etc..) - Rendering (simple rendering algorithms are ok) - Image/Movie manipulation (mind the transfertimes though) - Distributed Neural nets (or clusters of neural nets) - Gameserver (for calculating moves, physics, images etc..) - Whatever you can think of. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform C#, .NET Work is underway to make Alchemi compatible with Mono, but for the time being it will be .NET on Windows.
