Digital Savant Photographer Suite

This project is to write a suite of automated tools geared for a photographer doing business primarily on the web. The process: Photographer takes digital photos in studio (or on location) Photographer downloads photographs to hard disk Software then helps to automate the following steps: Organize photos Create web proof thumbnail sheet which is FTP'd to server for customer review. Proof sheet form is created from criteria specified by the photographer - how many photos customer is allowed to pick, customer name, date, etc. Proof sheet generated by software is a web form with "approve" check box under each thumbnail, which will only allow customer to select the number specified by photographer from the software suite. Customer puts a check under each approved photo and clicks 'submit' button (form should have notes field also to give feedback to photographer regarding specific photos). Form is submitted by via remote web/email server back to photographer, complete with list of approved proofs and notes regarding specific photos. Customer is given a confirmation screen once form is submitted. Basically, the software suite is geared to allow the photographer to quickly provide a web proof sheet to the customer with minimal effort. Software should contain basic tools for rotating images before proof sheet is generated, etc. There should also be some form customization options for when the web proof form sheet is generated - customizing checkbox items under each photo. Also in the suite will include a Photo CD creation tool for creating an organized CD for the customers who purchase the CD of original full resolution photos. The final CD will include an [login to view URL] file to bring up a splash screen giving the customer the option of viewing a slide show or browsing the CD. These are the main items for the software capability. ## Deliverables Rent A Coder requirements notice: As originally posted, this bid request does not have complete details. Should a dispute arise and this project go into arbitration "as is", the contract's vagueness might cause it to be interpreted against you, even though you were acting in good-faith. So for your protection, if you are interested in this project, please work-out and document the requirements onsite. 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
