Database For Joomla Site with integration

We have information about ships that will be contracted in the next few years for oil fields work in mexico. There are about 200 ships that are being contracted. This is very interesting information for ship owners. The information is displayed on a powerpoint presentation. It is detailed information showing the type of ship (which can be organised into category and [login to view URL]), when the competitive bids should be placed, when the ship should be presented for work and the duration of the contract. So it has a calander element. I would like to display this information in the most effective way possible using database management, rich tooltips (overlib). For example hover over the type of ship and see information regarding specific technical requirements/dimensions etc. I would like that the job be done by modifying a component called SObi2 Directory. An example can be seen on my website. <[login to view URL]> I have included a powerpoint presentation of the info, which starts to display around slide 8. So you can get an idea about tyoe of vessel, dates, and tech specs. I need this to be integrated into joomla. I can wrap this in or it could be made into a joomla component if you have experience in this. It may require registration and inclusion in amailing list to access the info. I am considering this at the moment. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law.
