Context-sensitive diff tool for XML data (repost)

Our company uses text files formatted with XML to define objects within our system. We have various tools that modify these files and when writing them back out often re-order the contents, making the use of traditional diff tools problematic. We need a diff tool that will tell us which objects have been added, removed, and changed, and identify the specific changes made. We will supply you with the structure of the XML and some sample content files. The diff program should be written in C++ for Linux and will be invoked on the command-line. It should take either one or two filenames as command-line parameters. If two filenames are specified, it should compute the difference between them. If only a single filename is specified, it should perform the diff between that file and stdin. Results should be sent to stdout. The diif tool may use Xerces, but should not otherwise require any nonstandard libraries or header files. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law.
