I have a set of programs (it's a compiler) designed to run on an old Unix (I am not sure of which Unix). I have seen this program running on an old SCO system, and now I would like to be able to port it to a more modern Linux machine. If run directly, if says "cannot execute binary file". Inside the binary, I can read "386/Unix SysV" but I guess this is just a message, NOT exactly the indication of the system it is designed to run on. I need to have some sort of binary compatibility for this binary, if possible! I am enclosing one of the programs, if it helps to understand what kind of binary file it is.
## Deliverables
Explanation of what type of binary file it is. Instructions on how to run these programs on a Linux machine.
## Platform
Linux
## Deadline information
I am enclosing just one program, but successfull bidder will have access to all other programs to be installed. This is the start of one of these binary files when seen in DOS' debug: 1A8E:0100 4C 01 04 00 12 34 16 28-00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 L....4.(........ 1A8E:0110 1C 00 0F 01 0B 01 00 00-CA 14 02 00 A4 22 00 00 .............".. 1A8E:0120 B0 31 00 00 D0 00 00 00-D0 00 00 00 9A 05 40 00 .1.............. 1A8E:0130 2E 74 65 78 74 00 00 00-D0 00 00 00 D0 00 00 00 .text........... 1A8E:0140 CA 14 02 00 D0 00 00 00-00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 1A8E:0150 00 00 00 00 20 00 00 00-2E 64 61 74 61 00 00 00 .... ....data... 1A8E:0160 9A 05 40 00 9A 05 40 00-A4 22 00 00 9A 15 02 00 ........."...... 1A8E:0170 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00-00 00 00 00 40 00 00 00 ................ 1A8E:0180 2E 62 73 73 00 00 00 00-3E 28 40 00 3E 28 40 00 .bss....>(..>(..
