Add fields joomla registration page

Need to add several fields to joomla user registration page. Actually i am usig ECWID (ecommerce solution) with a Single Sign On active (when the user sign up, automaticlayy he is registered in ecwid).
Tha project is to add 3 more custom fileds:
1. Society
2. VAT
3. Date of birtday
the goal is that when the user is a society, field 3 (date of birday) will be automatically disable.
onother goal is to filter the vat numbers (i mean: if a particular vt is going to register, the user will not be able to go ahead...)
