Add features, modify current features of a WordPress site.

I have a WordPress website with a custom template that I wish to modify. It is a site for Directors to search for actors/actresses from my agency and select which ones they want for their project (TV Commercials, Movies, Short Films, etc...) I was wondering if it would be possible for me to create a username for each director and assign them privileges to be able to create a project with basic details and be able to browse through my portfolio and select and add the actors/actresses to their project. Another thing that I need is a simple way for them to find the actor/actress they look for through categories and a simplified drop down menu to be able to do so. For example... Lets think that I'm one of the Directors... I access the site, log-in with the username/password given to me and access the "Create a Project" link. In this page I created a project called "BMW Cars Commercial" in the details block I write "Commercial for the new 2015 i3 Series Car" another block would say Looking for: Man/woman couple at around 30-40 years of age with kids around 8-9 year of age, white, English speaking, etc, etc... Contact Info: Numbers, Casting Date/Location, Payment Info,[login to view URL] that I created the project, I start browsing the site for potential actors/actresses by visiting the portfolio. I notice there is a simple to use Category option that sums it down to what I'm looking for, but I need to be able to sum it down a bit more, perhaps by using Sub-Categories? A search option would be nice.I click on my first actor and I would like to add him to my newly created project, so I click the button that says "Add to Project..."Once I'm done adding the actors/actresses to my project, I want to submit the project to the office so that the Owner/Secretary can contact this people and have them go to the casting session. To summarize, I need to add: a search box that I can use to search for potential actors/actresses by typing things like red hair, woman, kid, etc. Enhance the category option displayed on top of the portfolio so that maybe it has a drop down from a main categories to sub-categories: (Male, Kid, 10-15 years, etc.)A new menu for users (Directors) to be able to add projects, with details, and be able to add my actors/actresses from the portfolio to their projects with ease.A way for Directors (users) to send me the details of the project so that we can contact the actors/actresses.I think this is mostly what I would like to do, it's sort of like a shopping cart idea, where people browse through my catalog and add their "products" to a wish list and let me know what they want to do with this "wish list".
