We are using a webform to collect subscribers and want to use a getdate() function to catch the date they subscribed.
We cant use php because most of our pages are html and we tried using java but it was unreliable.
We are trying now to use transact sql getdate() but don't know what code to use.
We need a programmer to write the code for us to use. Here is the tag from our webform code:
<INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="DFS\_purchase\_date" VALUE="WE WANT TO PUT THE DATE HERE" SIZE=10 MAXLENGTH=100>
We dont care what method is used as long as it works and it is relaible.
Can you help?

A bit more info for you: The database on my mailing server is microsoft sql. The data goes from my html webform via a page called [login to view URL] which uses the tcl scripting language to populate teh database. When we mail, the data is retrieved from the database and merged into the email also using the tcl scripting language. Hope this info helps you better understand my project.

One more addition: I'd prefer the date come from server side not client side. We were using java to get the date client side but this was problematic because some subscribers have incorrect dates on there PCs and we need the correct date to trigger sequential mailings.
