We need following backend work to be done for our website, front-end has been done and completed. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Create a database for hotels, each hotel needs to have: -Hotel Name -Link to map -Link to a review system -Address city/state/country (We will need it for displaying) -Description -Check in/out times -Telephone number -Website -Activities description -Policies -Links to images -Links to similar hotels -Generate a link to the page for each hotel -Hotel Facilities -Star Ratings -Property Type -Hotel Theme -Hotel Chain -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Create a Query for getting a hotel by: - Name - Address - City (Get number of hotels in that city) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Create a sorting system on hotel list page: - Star Ratings - Places - Property Type - Guest Ratings - Hotel Facilities - Theme - Hotel Chain - Hotel Name -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Create a simple php script for contact page , we have the form done, you just need to make it work. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Which are the two most important programming languages you should know? - PHP and Mysql. - Software frameworks do you prefer to use? - Ajax framework will be needed as we want to have a live hotel search. - What other skills you should have? - You should have a basic understanding of how frontend works. - Basic knowledge of ssh as we are using Amazon EC2 Ubuntu Instance. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We need you to create a page for each hotel on the database, we have a template for the frontend , you just need to make a separate page for each hotel, and create a way of pulling hotel data from the DB. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
