Audio cassette tape to MP3/WMA/FLV conversion

We post talks from scientific meetings on the web. The talks come as cassette tapes, with the entire session on 1-2 tapes, usually 3-5 speakers with a discussion section. Need someone to digitize using Cool-Edit or Sound Forge or similar technology to a .WAV file or high resolution MP3 file (initial digitization has to be at CD quality to maintain good quality). Then use Windows Media Encoder to make a WMA file, and other encoders to generate, from the WMA file, a compressed MP3 file and Flash Video -Audio file. Sometimes the sound quality is not the best, and priority will be given to bidders with capability of improving the sound of bad tapes. Also, we need separate files for each speaker, and a separate file for the discussion section. Price will depend on how many tapes we do. Sometimes we need to pull out just one talk from a session. Most of this work needs to be done in early November. About 300 or so talks need to be digitized and extracted in this format. We will also need transcription of same, and some bidders may also want to add transcripts. But these are scientific talks, and not garden-variety medical transcripts. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
