Data Extraction Utility

We want a stand alone user friendly utility to automate the process of extracting data from excel spreadsheets. We pull data from 30-40 unique spreadsheets 1 to 5 times everyday. These spreadsheets are not laid out in a tabular format. 95% of the time the data appears in exactly the same place on each successive spreadsheet 5% of the time the "layout" has been modified. This utility does not find information on the spreadsheet based on a fixed position. Instead it first searches for "landmarks" which are user defined keywords or text within a certain user defined range on the spreadsheet, then searches for the desired data within another user defined range on the spreadsheet. In most cases the utility will search and find three landmarks before "finding" the desired data. The utility will save all of these "maps" in a selectable table. It will keep a log of all search rules that poduce no data and produce an on demand report showing all failed search rules. Please see the attached documents for greater detail of the menus, pages and specifications of this project. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows XP
