I am currently working on a new XNA project that has some very professional quality music in .wav form.
Unfortunately when I attempted to create either an XACT project or using the media player property, I get a "tin can" effect where the sound quality degrades significantly and the desired effect is lost.
Since a significant portion of my time is involved in other areas of the project, I need someone who has experience in this area, has been down this road and can implement what i'm needing to do.
The Job:
I need someone to create the audio structure either through the XACT studio or any implementation you wish. This structure should allow for the music files to output from all speakers if the setup is a 5.1 system or enhance the wave file so that the underlying bass to the song is maintained so that the "tin can" effect is no longer present. The structure should also allow me to call a sound effect when an event occurs.
The end result will be a? C#? project solution that plays a background music file that ideally? fires on all available speakers. Secondly a sound file will activate when the player hits a button (easy to do myself but I would like to hear how it sounds with this implementation). Finally the solution should allow for configurable volume levels for the music and for the sound effects.
I can provide the music and sound assets as well as any further details if contacted.
Thank you for your interest.
