Bugs in Oscommerce Taxes/Shipping Module

OK. Really pissing me off. My cart always worked fine till a crash. Installed database bakup and all OK excpet I seem to have a few bugs. I did try to install Purchase Wothout Account but moved all those file to backup status and reinserted all my original backups - much to complicated an oscommerce mod.

We had an order last night - customer cancelled. $800. Why? USPS would not calculate shipping and it defaults to heavy merchandise freight cvharge of $389.00 That's the first problem. Yet, in admin UI, in catalog, if I set the item weight in question to zero, then run cart, USPS calculates postage fee! If I set the weight, it does not. That's problem one.

Problem 2 is taxes. My FL state taxes are really screwed up. Here's a sample calculation from my [url removed, login to view]

that should be a 6% charge of $29.28!!!!

I cannot figure this out and need a pro to fix it for me. This is urgent - it has already cost me one sale!

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
