Most word processors come with spell checking capabilities. A spell checker scans a document and compares each word with a stored dictionary. When a word is encountered that does not appear in the dictionary, the user is notified and has the option of changing the spelling of the word, ignoring the word, or adding that word to the dictionary for future reference. For this assignment, you have to develop a simplified spell-checker for text files. Your program should read in words from a dictionary file [[login to view URL]][1] (containing 324 commonly used English words) and load them into linked lists. Then it should prompt the user for the name of the text file that is to be spell-checked. A sample text file [[login to view URL]][2] is given. The words from this file should be read into a linked list and compared with the dictionary of known words. In case of a misspelled word (not found in the dictionary), the user should be notified and given the options of (1) ignoring that occurrence of the word, (2) ignoring all occurrences of the word, or (3) adding the word to the dictionary. Choosing to ignore all occurrences or add the word to the dictionary should mean that any future occurrences of the word will not be flagged as misspellings. At the end, the possibly updated dictionary should be written back, overwriting the initial dictionary. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
