This program will allow an operator to enter stories from a radio or TV station in a data base. The operator enters each story, just a couple of lines we call a note. The name of the station, time of news cast and length must be recorded. Some stories are important and while each is entered some are important enough to be assigned a special number and will be given more detail and we call this a summary. A summary item is activated by keywords. So once we type the note and hit tab the line will be scanned. Say the word gas is a hot keyword. This will bring up the summary field. We will add more lines to this summary. All clients interested in gas have a number and this summary is assigned to that number. Each item is also spell checked when it is tabbed so a spell chacker is necesary perhaps based on MSWord. Several stations are entered. They may be radio or TV. So we need Station, location, time format. Then a note and or a summmary based on the keywords. Once this is input it must be possible to send it to a main computer via the net. The main computer needs a data base setup so it can search the notes for keywords. Say the word items and assemble only those to print and send to department to read only those notes with the keywords of interest. The summaries as well need to be sorted based on the number assigned so they can be sent by topic based on the number. These can then be faxed or printewd off or emailed to various departments. It must be possible to add to the key works, add and delete stations and add or delete keywords related to the client or topic such as gas or oil or money or whatever. This is mainly a sorting of information based on a client interest. A client number is assigned to the topic that may show up in the news and it is this topic we want to sort via their number so we can send it to them without a manual sorting process.
