There is a simple system I have running. It is tied to a few tables in an access database. And there are different steps in this process to develop a report at the end. It's pretty much involving combobox's and choosing options and each combobox's options depends on the previous choice from the previous combobox. I talked to someone they said it should take an hour for a decent asp programmer.
If they are the manager they can look at everyones names in the first combo box (employee table), and select someone or choose to do a performance analysis on all employees. If they are a sales agent it doesnt let them see this combo box and goes straight to the next page, displays their name instead of one chosen, and lets them pick an option. Then they go to the next one it asks for region and whatnot. They choose that , then it goes to the next one, and if they chose a specific criteria like that it shows the different regions, or specific criteria for whatver they chose. Then it keeps going on and on like I Said. But on every single page it has to develop or add to an SQL query. Cause what I Want to do is by the time step 5 comes, have an SQL Query built out of all these selections, so taht I can generate a report like below step 5. Either a single agent report if they chose a name from above or are an agent logged in. Or a general report, if they are a manager and chose all Employees in teh first combo box.
