Comparison website using MySQL - proof of concept

I wish to build a proof of concept prototype comparison website application using some sample data. I need an input form which will interact with a Mysql database and produce a comparison of results. The principle involves the user selecting any 2 possible suppliers from a list supplied from the database. And then choosing input variable volumes from a list of 10 possible input fields. These inputs will interact with the database which holds a unique value for each supplier for each of the 10 fields. The application will perform a series of calculations in order to produce a single result value for each of the two chosen suppliers. The calculations will be described by a list of rules. The calculation rule used will be specific to the supplier and the data field name. I will supply: A hosted mysql sample database comprising 3 rows (suppliers) x 10 data fields, with logon details Description of database structure List, description and values for the 10 input fields. Description of the calculation rules to be used for each supplier and each piece of data. You will supply: The input webform Code to drive the required calculations, using webform variable inputs interacting with database values and the calculation rules Results page This is a small piece of introductory work. Once proven, I plan to greatly expand the volume and complexity of the comparison engine and calculation rules so it will be important to find a worker who can grow with the project.
