I am an independent Android developer with several years of Android experience and decades of software development experience.
I've got an app on Google Play (Mom Says Secure Todo) that makes extensive use of Wifi, so I'm familiar with the subject.
I've completed a proof of concept for this project and am confident I can complete in the 1 week specified. Already completed functionality includes display of active access points, service to execute scans, database to store access point list and notifications, and daily notifications. Work still to do includes settings and testing.
This is a low bid since I'm new to Freelancer.
Discussion topics I have identified:
1. Battery Use. Though it will be configurable, if the app wakes up every minute to scan for Access Points, I expect it will use significant battery. Any concerns?
2. Graphic assets and colors (app Theme). Do you care what colors the app uses (for text, backgrounds, toolbars, etc.)? Do you care about the launcher icon? Do you expect me to create a launcher icon?
3. Identifying Access Points. Some access points do not report an SSID, I intend to use BSSID instead (where SSID is blank), but BSSID can be difficult for humans to remember.
