Hi There, magento expert and you can easily upgrade to 1.9 but migrate to version 2.0 is time taking job as the database schema changes and the directory structure and internal operations of Magento have also changed so much. You can Upgrade to 1.9.4 Doing this but you can not upgrade to 2.0.2 as this will require a complete rebuild of your site as magento v2 is a completely different product and is notthe same as magento 1 this means modules need finidng to replace your v1 modules, code has be transfered and css rewritten and everything rewritten into jquery. But if this is ok im happy to secure the site, scan the hosting for viruses and malware and lock it all down, while upgrading to 1.9.4

You will not be able to upgrade to magento 2.0. It is a different generation of magento. What I can do for you is take your magento 1.8 and upgrade it to the latest 1.9.2.4 version that includes all the security patches. It will only take me a couple days to do. Plus I can also increase the speed of your website so it loads faster and make sure your server is secure. I just need a backup of your site, and I can do the work on my development system and return it back to you.

The latest version of Magento is 2.0.7. Why not to upgraded to the latest version? What kind of attack it was? XSS, DDOS, SQL? There are many tricks to secure a Magento website. It starts from your hosting. First of all you've to be on secure hosting. Shared hosting is not recommended. I can help you out in this way.
