I run a web hosting business and have been in IT for about 20 years. I can secure your server by installing and configuring CSF along with Modsecurity. I'll also make sure Clamav is installed and that WHM itself is properly configured. After the modsec configuration, I will need to browse a couple sites hosted on your server to ensure no false positives pop up. Once that's done, false positives may be reported by customers. Should that happen, you may have to disable the rule for that specific site using CMC. Please refer to https://confluence2.cpanel.net/display/EA/Symlink+Race+Condition+Protection for Symlink protection info. Please beware that Case EA-4835 is currently open regarding erros logged when using modsec/ruid and EA4. To do the job, I will need the following information: Server URL. WHM credentials.

As a part of harden the server, I will be performing the tasks. 1. cPanel Tweak(cPHulk,Compilers,mod_userdir,open_basedir) 2. Disable dangerous Php functions 3. Change SSH default to random port 4. Enable SPF, DKIM For all cPanel account. 5. Perform rootkit scan 6. Perform antivirus scan using clamscan or maldet. 7. Install CSF & LFD daemon 8. Install SPRI 9. Install PRM These are the things that we will implement while doing hardening. Incase if you would like to add any points/security things then please let us know. We will include them as well. Ensure that OS and WHM is fully up to date and check security settings in WHM. I would advise installing CloudLinux to aid with security (separate license required) and can assist with that separately if required.
