Convert site from Joomla to Wordpress (Changed from original project posting.''

Hello All, I would like to hire an experienced web site person to help me convert my site from Joomla to Wordpress. I have a working version using Joomla version 1.5.15 here at [login to view URL] **AND** I have a working, but not pretty, test version running under Joomla 2.5.6 here: [login to view URL] I did the migration to 1.7 and **then the update to 2.5.6**. The new site has some template and menu issues. I'm not used to the new menu structure and I'm not a template person. Help here please. So, we can do the transfer from either one. However, the current 1.5 site is more up-to-date then the 2.5 version. ## Deliverables All content will also need to be checked to make sure it works. The current site look and feel is desired. I'm willing to purchase a Wordpress template if I have to. I have web space to create a ghost site for setting up the entire thing off-line. Once it all works, I'll ask the coder to do the important work of dealing with the database addressing and the folder structure changes to switch to the new site. Many of my pages have images that use thumbnails that link to pop-out larger images. I also have several YouTube videos embedded. Another set of pages includes link to Amazon books. Google ads are included in the side bars. It is likely that I'll ask for help keeping the database clean. I will want to do more work on the site in the near future. This might be more work for the right coder. Please send me links to current sites you have worked on. As you'll see by my ratings, I'm a fairly good guy to work with. I'm eager to work with a coder who is willing to teach me some of the behind the scenes stuff. I suppose I should have included this info in the project posting. 1. Do I want the same template? Appearance? Hmmm. It's what I'm used to. But I'm open to something new. Getting close is likely fine. 2. Menu structure: I have various "sections" or "topics" covered. I'm not that familiar with WordPress, so I don't know how my topics should be organized. I suppose I'll need either pages of stuff, or menus with sub-menus. Does WP do sub-menus? I would think so. 3. Do I want all my articles and photos transferred? YES Please. To be blunt, if I wanted to start new, I'd be up and running already :-) As for some of the components, whatever doesn't work in WP, no. We'll leave them out. 4.
