Cloud-based SAAS project integrated with Google satelite

This project will be cloud-based SAAS. First we need advise in mapping out the project which is envisioned as a java/javascript (possibly using GWT). Our clients, who are service oriented, will manage their customers physical locations. The locations will be integrated with Google satellite images with pushpins for the "assets" - in this case trees. This will be a three phase project: 1) Confirm and finalize architecture and programming languages. 2) Write a pre-release version which will be tested in the field by beta-users. 3) Using client suggestions, finalize the software into a release version, which may include scheduling and asset management. This project will most likely be 4-6+ months in duration and involve hundreds of hours of software development.
