I have written a chapter book targeted towards children 7 to 9 years old. I am looking for an illustrator to create the cover for my book and 4-6 sketches to be used throughout the book. This is the first book within a series. This opportunity is for the first book only. If all goes well, I would like to use the same illustrator for all books in the series. The series will first be published as an ebook. I am willing to pay for the illustrations, but will NOT pay royalties upon book sales. I have pictures to use as REFERENCE ONLY. These pictures are only to give an example of setting and characters, not to be used for actual design.

Hello, I can create hand drawn image for the cover of your book and hand drawn sketches. Look for example at Autumn Fae in my portfolio. I draw with watercolor pencils and colored pencils and scan illustrations at 300 dpi. I can a lot with the kinds of references to have. Pictures plus the story will really allow me to describe in illustration what you have created. My pen and ink drawings are very well suited for children's books. I also work on those drawings in Photoshop. I thinks having this format is perfect for your page layout needs. Hi There I have 8 years of experience in graphic design, and have many years as an artist and illustrator I am an excited illustrator, ready and willing for this project. i am still new to this site. but i can assure you my experience with illustration work will please. If you have time you can look through my portfolio examples I have many different styles that can cater for your needs. I would be drawing these in digital media unless specified.. i am proficient in traditional illustration, with the use of water colour and inks... i do have a scanner for scanning these in aswell.
