Job description "Lecture Slideshow WHS" QUALIFICATIONS: I am looking for an individual with experience in this particular software obviously (Impress Open Office) who will understand the text of the lecture and then create an aesthetically pleasing presentation. Some scholarly background would be a plus. BRIEFING I will give a series of lectures, each one of which has specifications described below. The maximum I pay for each lecture for a perfectly qualified individual is $30. Bidding for this job refers to ONE lecture for the above maximum of $30. Once completed to my satisfaction, the next one can be agreed and so on. Language of lectures: English Subject: World Heritage Sites in Europe (Lisbon, Andalusia, Malta, Greece) Duration: 50' per lecture + 5' reserve time. JOB DESCRIPTION Text: I already have the complete texts for the lectures and most of the images. The job is for you to create a Powerpoint-style presentation for each lecture. Specifications as follows: Software: Impress (Open Office, files .odp). I use a MacBook Air. I must be able to edit the file afterwards. Projection: The venue will provide a good quality projector (specifications unknown) and a large screen (some 2.5m x 2.5m). There will not be wifi or internet connection at the location. Images: Most images are readily available and can be provided via Dropbox. Perhaps they are not large enough for sharp projection. It is part of the job to verify that all images will look sharp when projected, and to find appropriate images, which must be copyright -free (the lectures will not be commercial, but free of charge). Approx. Minimum 60 slides per lecture, better 70. Text on slides: The slides will be mixed images & text. The text in each slide must be bullet-style, just providing keypoints to support the spoken text. It will be your job to distill such keywords from the written text. This cannot be done mechanically, you must understand the text. Deadline: 3 calendar days from agreement. References: You must present recommendations for having successfully completed similar jobs, or relevant samples.
