Dear recruiter, My name is Yani Li, a fashion designer graduated from Savannah college of art and design August,2015, lives in New York City Currently. Based on my education at SCAD, I have learned and improved my garment draping and pattern making skills. I am especially into pattern making and indeed most of my works were done based on patterns. As well as, I was trained to do my entire portfolio in a digital version; hence, I am familiar with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. I am confident with editing photos, garment flats, and inspiration research. During my senior year, we had to make a collection of six complete looks from scratch and that really helped both my hand and machine sewing skills. In terms of working experience, I have interned with Yoana Baraschi, a women's apparel for 2 months in winter 2014 under production team. I am currently interning with Jason Wu, a design studio that’s also known for Michelle Obama’s Exclusive Choose. With my working experience so far, I have improved my Photoshop, Illustrator and indesign skill a lot, as well as gained a better understanding of Fashion business and production.
