Design a logo for North Shore Rugby

North Shore Youth Rugby is a U-19 program open to players ages 15-19. The team was established in 2002 and officially registered with the Minnesota Rugby Union. North Shore Youth Rugby (NSR) is a club sport. Our mission is training the next generation of USA Rugby athletes. The ruggers come together from regional high schools in rural Northern Minnesota and Wisconsin. The ruggers practice on the shores of Lake Superior in Duluth, MN wherever they can find a field large enough with tattered equipment and uniforms…because they love rugby! They play rugby for the need to test oneself against adversity, coupled with the blunt Spartan courage in the face of overwhelming odds. Ruggers thrive on uniqueness, risk, adrenaline, and driven by the warrior ethos that ripple out, influencing their entire lives. In 2002, the North Shore ruggers were at the bottom of the ratings in Minnesota. In 2014, North Shore Rugby was first in their conference and third in the state. Nine players from the 2014 team were selected for the Minnesota selects team representing the state at the national level. The team main color is purple. North Shore Rugby is known as an honest, physical, hard hitting team. We would like to have a balance of tradition and future that pops. The current logo is a bland shield with simple lettering,...but still incorporate the shield/coat of arms concept.
