Design a Logo - influenced by Indian art and spirituality

The logo is for a new spiritual and literary media: Upaya Media. The blog will have a big focus on interfaith dialogue and comparative philosophical discussions between East and West.
I am very keen to find someone with a good sense of Indian, Tibetan and South Asian Arts, as this is the symbolism I would like to infuse the logo, on a subtle level. The logo also needs to appear sophisticated with a refined colour scheme - I am considering earth tones, reds and golds and am open to suggestions.
Ideas shown on the attached PDF include wheels of samsara, tibetan vajra art, etc. A circle logo is a possible option, although I am also interested to see things like a cross made of the spokes of the samsara wheel, and am even open to the incorporation of another Indian art-style that I haven't thought of.
Really keen to get a beautiful logo and would like to find the perfect visual artist to create this for me, along with a suggested colour scheme for my upcoming website.
I will only award the project to somebody who shows they have read my requirements, and has a clear affinity for Indian/Asian art and spirituality. Looking forward to hearing from you!
