Or is it there because Freelancer has it as default. It's fine, I can work with PHP. I would rather use .NET MVC. Either way, I would make it a what they call a 'Responsive' site, so that it would be accessible on all platforms. What products are being sold? I would not be interested in this, if this is primarily for 'underhanded', pornographic, street drugs, and/or weapons. Where is it being hosted? Amazon... What database is available? In PHP there are a few options. In .NET its preferable to use MS-SQL server as a backend, but MySQL is also an option. Either way, it will work. If you want it like Amazon or Ebay: Users will register with their credit cards. You will need a 'HTTPS'-SSL certificate hosting package. I will need to make sure with the 'shopping cart' system that is in place, that it does have heavy encryption methods.
