We are looking for a new logo to form the center point of our rebrand and relaunch in 2015. We are a Multi Genre convention , sort of like a comic con* meets sci fi/fantasy expo . A comic con is an event in which fans of a particular film, television series, comic book, actor, or an entire genre of entertainment such as science fiction or fantasy and manga/anime , gather to participate and hold programs and other events, and to meet experts, famous personalities, and each other. Some also incorporate commercial activity. In addition to this we also have a RPG section , (Board Games, Table Top ( Dungeons and Dragons/Call of Cthulhu etc ) and collectable card games like magic the gathering & Pokemon ) We are family friendly convention in our second year , and the logo needs to be scalable, bright and colourful and will be used on all posters , website , shirts and merchandise as our main brand. Its important that the Logo encompasses all we do at the convention , our convention is called Wyntercon This year we also are attempting to break into the Steampunk and cosplay markets , to increase our appeal to the general public. Hi, I'm very interested by your convention logo and I'll like to help you. I've been working as a professional graphic artist for a number of years. I've worked on PC & console games and have illustrated comics, box artwork, a small line of T shirts and some accidental tattoos... but that's another story. I know how important a distinctive logo is and I'll be able to provide a high quality design. In my career I often have to provide logos that work on print, as well as high & low resolution devices, so I know that the same logo needs to work on a banner 30 feet away as well as in the brochure in your hand. You state that the convention is family friendly and I'll respect that decision in the logo. You'll not see any chain mail bikinis or unholy monsters here;) If you choose my services, I'll be able to sketch up a few design ideas for you (including Steampunk - which is very popular at the moment) We'll see which one you like the best, and then incorporate your comments and input into the final design.
