Building Edge Detection

<colgroup> <col width="408" /></colgroup> We desire an algo that will *detect* and *highlight* 1) The edges of a roof on any building (single-family homes/multi-family homes/commercial buildings etc..) from ortho or angled aerial images. 2) Any protrusions on the roof 3) Any edges within the perimeter of the roof The algo should begin with an initial condition of a circle (whose initial dimensions can be modified) *within* the perimeter of the roof. This should expand outward to find the edges. The algo should complete within 5 seconds. Please refer to [login to view URL] for extra specifications <colgroup></colgroup> <col width="408" /> <colgroup></colgroup> <col width="408" /> ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). 4) All the specifications within [login to view URL] should be satisfied. ## Platform The executable should run on Ubuntu Linux or Windows XP. It will eventually be called from a website that will contact a server to run the analysis. Ideally, it will be written in C++. We can discuss a Matlab script if it can be compiled into a C or C++ executable. We do not have a Matlab license.
