Hello! I work for Microsoft as a Data Analyst. This is the kind of stuff I do every day! It's pretty easy using formulas to divide up a column, I do have a few questions. 1. What type of data is in the column you want to divide up? 2. Is the data you want to divide in the same format? (IE: are the number of characters the same, in the same place. Are there particular codes that you need that are always the first 3 characters?) If the data in that column is easy to parse out by character spacing, it will literally take a few formulas to split it out, and then we can use a Pivot Table to categorize everything. Pivot Tables are designed to Summarize large sets of data into an easily readable format. And you can use any column in your data as a category. For example, if we pull out the State from your column of data, we can then categorize everything in the List by State. Can you copy a few hundred rows of data and send it to me? I can give you a quick example of what I'm describing! Have a good day!
