Audio Transcriber – Audio Transcription for Audio and Video

Experienced Audio Transcribers / Audio Transcription for Audio and Video Recordings. You must be very fluent in English, meaning be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Ongoing need for several responsible, reliable, efficient, and talented audio transcribers to transcribe recorded telephone interviews for a national magazine publication. Recordings are typically of an interview of two people talking back and forth in English. Typically MP3 audio format files will be provided. Most are between 30 to 60 minutes in length on average. Example: We prefer simple transcription and time coded every 5 minutes. All typical voice inflections or voice ticks (ie: ah, um, etc.) do not need to be transcribed. 0:00 John Smith blah, blah blah Jane Doe blah, blah blah John Smith blah, blah blah 5:00 Jane Doe blah, blah blah And so on, and so forth, etc… About Us: We are a growing business in located in Phoenix, Arizona (USA), that produces a Monthly News Magazine, Weekly News Radio Show, and Weekly News TV Show. Important Note: We are looking to work directly with individual people, NOT a company or agency. You must be very fluent in English, meaning be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Preferable, but not necessary, be able to work during normal USA business hours (Monday – Friday). We are in Phoenix, Arizona (USA) in the Pacific Standard Time Zone (PST), and our business hours are typically from 8am PST – 5pm PST. Again, we’d prefer this, but for the talented reliable person, we can work with your schedule providing there is fast turnaround of transcriptions. What You Are Bidding On: Please place your competitive bid based on “per AUDIO hour transcribed” based on doing up to 60 minutes of completed audio transcription. Example: If the audio is 60 minutes long, regardless of how long it takes you to transcribe, bid only on the completion of the 60 minute audio being transcribed. Even though we have many hours of audio transcription to give multiple transcribers on a weekly basis (ends up being full time work for the right people), please bid only on 1 hour of transcribed audio, with the understanding that you ultimately would be working ongoing with us. You Must Do This Task: 1. Send us some samples of your work via Private Message, including details of what your bid amount is, and how long it typically takes you to actually do 1 hour of audio in total labor hours of time. 2. Tell us why you would be a good fit in working with us long term if selected. (and please don’t tell us the only reason is you need the money and work – tell us why you would want to work with us?) 3. If selected for a test, be prepared to do a sample audio transcription as a test, that could be anywhere from 20 minutes to 60 minutes in length. We’ll pay you for this test based on your bid “per audio hour”.
