C Library Modification

We would like to modify our existing C library to support the new requirements as below: 1. The existing 1,600+ lines C library read and process the binary data from a file. We have introduced an enhancement to the binary format that require you to modify the existing C library to support the use of it. The new binary format has incremental information from the existing binary format. We added additional structures to support new requirements for IPv6. 2. The new modified C library (IPv6 & IPv4) shall be backward compatible to existing version (IPv4). 3. The C library contains the IP address information. Therefore basic knowledge of IP address notation (IPv4 & IPv6) and big integer processing will be required. 4. We will provide basic data for testing purpose. You are required to do a thorough testing and reporting to ensure the new modified library works with no bugs, memory leaks, thread-safe, backward compatible and etc. 5. We will provide one working Perl module that already had the new requirements implemented. You need to review the Perl script first to port the methods to C. 6. The source codes will be used by other open-source projects across multiple architectures and OS. It must be working in x86, x64 and ARM architecture. It must be able to compile under Linux, Windows and Mac OS using preprocessors.
