Unfortunately it happens sometimes. I will tell you more: most likely the code they made is absolutely useless and unsupportable. If you share it with me I can give you advice. But I have seen this situation so many times. In most cases the way out is to remake everything from the scratch with a proper team. I can estimate the project if you want me to. Regards Alex
