We need a custom application for a Galaxy 3s. It should monitor several (three) areas on the camera image and accoustically signal a change in the scene. The application will be used for a project only and not be distributed or sold commercially. So the implementation may be started from code already available on the web - licensing conditions permitting.
The Application should stream the widest available camera image to the display with at least 5 Hz. Display resolution is sufficient for all processing
There should be processed three small quadratic "sensitive areas" s1..s3 consisting of center points x1,y1 ...x3,y3 and side lenght l1,l2,l3
A change should be signaled per sensitive area si if the SAD (Sum of absolute differences) of at least 100 evenly disstributed pixels is above a set threshold mi in four consecutive frames (4 frames = 3 differences)
The application should play a short audio file under certain conditions (default 500Hz for 0.5 seconds)
The application should consist of an "operating screen" and a "settings screen"
where the settings screen should contain
- a button to return to the operating screen
- a button to exit the application
- means to set mi and li
- means to set xi,yi by showing the camera picture and tapping on the coordinate
- means to select the audio file
and the operating screen should contain
- a button to get to the settings screen
- a button to exit the application
- three buttons to force the application into states t1,t2,t3 defined below.
- an indicator to show the state, in which the application is in readable from 1,5m distance, e.g. by coloring the three buttons
The application should work as follows
t1 (idle) is the initial state
- switch to t2 if there is no change in s1 and no change in s2
t2 (interact)
- switch to to t1 whenever there is change in s1 and change in s2
- if user is tapping on the display on position x,y set x3=x and y3=y then switch to t3
t3 (armed)
- switch to to t1 whenever there is change in s1 and change in s2
- play audio file and switch to t1 when there is a change in s3
