Hi,
I am a novice developer using a trial and error approach to develop a database application in ASP.NET using VB as language in code behind and SQL (not Linq) to interact with the database. The application is intended for the management and documentation of reported medication side effects (indivudual case safety reports). The structure of the application is relatively simple and requires CRUD transactions only, but has lots of datapoints. Im at about 40% completion and, as far as I can tell for the moment, would be able to complete the application without support.
However, I have tons of semi-repetitive code and, as would have to be expected, this is starting to get really difficult to manage. The problem is that I have no clue how to actually leverage the programming language capabilities to generate public subs and functions which are flexible enough to deal with the differences between the code repititions.
As solution, I would like a professional developer to to join me in a remote workshop to review my code and provide concrete solutions on how to make my code more manageable. I would envisage a workshop lasting approximately two days (16 hours) in total and very probably a bunch of questions in the follow up. I would suggest paying all of these activities based on a fixed hourly rate.
