My Master's thesis project involved designing the forward fuselage for A-22 Aether, a novel aircraft that integrated a...As an aerospace engineer with a Master's degree from Cranfield University and a Bachelor's degree from GITAM University, I am passionate about designing sustainable and innovative aircraft structures. My Master's thesis project involved designing the forward fuselage for A-22 Aether, a novel aircraft that integrated a hydrogen fuel tank into the fuselage, as part of the Aerospace Vehicle Design program. I applied my skills and knowledge in computer-aided engineering (CAE), geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and composite materials to perform structural analysis, testing, and optimization of the fuselage design, ensuring its safety as per EASA CS-25. I also led the Fatigue and Damage Tolerance team, using software such as AFGROW to model and analyze the aircraft's fatigue life. The project resulted in a weight reduction of 9.11% compared to the initially estimated weight. Previously, I gained valuable experience in rocket propulsion and glider design as a Design and Analysis Intern at Lakshya Space, a startup that develops regenerative liquid rocket engines. I conducted simulations, experiments, and lectures on glider and rocket engine design, using tools such as MATLAB, SolidWorks, and ANSYS. I also participated in a research project on the mechanical behavior of composites under cryogenic conditions at Cranfield University, where I learned how to use finite element methods to study different types of failures in thermoplastic composites.
