Goal:
1. Setup dual boot win10 + win7 (or win10, or linux)
2. first win10 can be hibernated while using second OS (win7).
3. Keep installed programs (win re-install is very unwanted -I use partition backups -but I am willing to install win in order to create necessary satellite partitions.)

I already setup legacy boot (non uefi) with easybcd utility and got wanted dual boot but once win hibernates on next startup it goes straight to resuming so no option to select OS.
I am now learning/trying uefi.

If you send me PROVEN steps to achieve above goal I would be willing to pay reward. Easier procedure will have advantage. Using utilities instead manual editing/tweaking is preferred.

if i understood your breif correctly here is my research .
Dual boot means you can boot more than one operating system, because you installed each one of them on a separate partition, or physical drive.

However, dual boot doesn’t mean you can boot both operating systems at the same time.

    Why?

Linux and Windows kernels are incompatible, and you can only load one kernel at a time.

You can’t boot two operating systems at the same time, it’s technically impossible.

The kernel loads all the drivers and libraries needed.

If one system boots, it locks all those files and there’s no room for another kernel loading more drivers.

If you want to use two OSs at the same time, install either of them in a virtual machine.
